Dusty Kinman
Living in the High Sonoran Desert of Arizona, I’m a third-generation palette-knife oil painter of Southwest landscapes. My grandmother Florence Sackett taught my parents Linda Lee and Kerry Kinman how to paint with a palette knife and then they taught me. Now I’m passing that on to my wife, Rachel Kinman, and four children. I love painting the saguaro, ocotillo, and beavertail cactus in the Sonoran mountains. In all those prickly thorns there’s a quiet serenity and colorful beauty that draws me in.
