Eleven Minutes on Mars

On a fictional sunny day on Mars, three women are enjoying themselves, frivolously whiling away their time. They appear happy and contented. The painting was partially inspired by a recent eleven-minute flight of civilians into outer space. In today’s ambivalent reality, a scene like this looks perfectly normal and possible. A closer look, however, might pose the question: Are these beautiful women actually real?
